What data we collect and why

Contact form

When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is stored in a private database. It is never shared with third parties.

The legal basis for this processing is your freely given consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you provide by ticking the consent box before submitting the form.

Retention: Contact form submissions are kept for 1 year. You may request deletion at any time (see Your rights below).

Comments

If you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data you enter in the comment form (name, email address, and any optional website URL), along with your IP address and browser user agent string for spam detection. Comments are held for manual moderation before being published.

Your email address is never displayed publicly. An anonymized hash of it may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture; see Automattic’s privacy policy for details.

Retention: Approved comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized automatically.

Cookies

This site sets the following cookies:

• WordPress session cookies — temporary cookies set when you visit certain pages (e.g. the login page). These contain no personal data and expire when you close your browser.
• Comment cookies — if you leave a comment and opt in, your name and email are saved for one year so you do not need to re-enter them next time.

This site does not use any tracking or analytics cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
